Survey checklist

Preparation guide for landlords and property managers.

A short prep makes the survey fast and clean. Print this sheet or forward it as a PDF.

Before the scan

  • Notify tenants at least 14 days in advance (use the notice generator).
  • Make all rooms accessible — every door open.
  • Secure or remove personal valuables.
  • Crate or restrain pets.
  • Leave radiators, windows, doors in normal positions — no special staging.

On the day

  • Designate an on-site contact with keys.
  • Provide power (one outlet) for our equipment.
  • Adequate lighting in basements, attics, side rooms.
  • Cover or tape mirrors and glass surfaces (optional).
  • Clarify ownership of outdoor surfaces.

What we bring

  • Terrestrial and mobile LiDAR equipment.
  • Our own lighting for dark areas.
  • Floor protection (overshoes, felt sliders).
